After the signing of the Centralized Collective Agreement 2023-2024 between representatives of the State and leaders of the five union confederations of the three levels of government, in which the Executive Branch ordered the delivery of a bonus of S/600 that will benefit more than 582,000 public sector workers, there are questions about the start date, requirements and other details. ➤ S/600 bonus: Who will receive it?
The S/600 bonus will be delivered to all state workers of the three levels of government that are part of the centralized collective bargaining. In this sense, this economic aid will be available to the personnel of the following labor regimes:
- Legislative Decree 276 (Basic Law of the Administrative Career and Remuneration of the Public Sector)
- Legislative Decree 728 (Law on Labor Productivity and Competitiveness
- CAS Regime (Decree Law No. 1057)
- Civil Service Law (Law No. 30057)
- Law of the Special Public Penitentiary Career (Law No. 29709)
- Law of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic (Law No. 28091).
➤ S/600 Bonus: what are the requirements?
According to the act signed between the unions and the Executive Branch on June 30, public sector workers must meet certain requirements to access the payment of the S/600 bonus:
- In the case of national and regional government entities, they must have a labor relationship as of June 30, 2023. In addition, beneficiary personnel must be registered in the Centralized Registry of Data Sheets and Human Resources of the Public Sector of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
- Municipal workers must appear on the Electronic Payroll (PDT Plame) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) and have a labor relationship as of June 30 of this year.
➤ S/600 Bonus: when will it be delivered?
So far, there is no link or any exact date on the delivery of the S/600 bonus. However, the collective agreement signed between the State and the unions of the public sector establishes that the payment of this economic subsidy will be made during this 2023. Along the same lines, the National Confederation of State Workers of Peru (Confetep) indicated that the The Executive Branch promised to make the disbursement in July.
“The exceptional bonus in the case of entities of the National Government, Regional Governments and Local Governments, will be approved a rule with the rank of Law, whose payment process will be carried out in the month of July 2023, and is financed from the resources that are detailed in the standard”, reads the Centralized Collective Agreement 2023-2024.
Finally, Congresswoman Isabel Cortez affirmed that the Ministry of Economy and Finance would send a bill to Congress to authorize the deposit; and only in August would the S/600 be added to the payroll of state workers. However, an exact date has not been stipulated.
➤ S/600 Bonus: which workers will not receive this subsidy?
According to the collective agreement, workers who hold positions of trust, management or those who have the characteristics of a public official are excluded from receiving this economic subsidy. In addition to them, the personnel of the special careers of the health and education sectors will not be able to be beneficiaries of the bonus either, since these groups are negotiating their claims documents.
