This work will be completed next year, as announced by the Municipality of Montecristi.
MONTECRISTI, Manabí
In about six hectares, machinery deploys stone material in an area of great industrial expansion such as the Montecristi-Portoviejo road. On that land, located at kilometer 4 of that road, stands what will be a large collection center for products of Corporación El Rosado, owner of Mi Comisariato, as confirmed by Washington Arteaga, mayor of Montecristi.
The mayor pointed out that he is in favor of private investment being installed in the canton and said that, upon learning of this business, this Manabi municipality provided the facilities for the construction to take place. In the near future, likewise, a Mini Commissary will begin to be built, of the same company El Rosado, in the urban area of Montecristi.
“That area -route from Montecristi to Portoviejo- is considered a development area, there are many entrepreneurs who are interested in investing, which have to do with industrial processes, therefore, the moment they come to ask for the respective permits, we we will see the feasibility and we will give them immediately ”, indicated Arteaga.
Regarding the investment of the El Rosado group, the authority highlights the intention of continuing to emerge in Manabí and that it will generate employment. In the province there are about 50 supermarkets such as El Rosado, La Favorita, Tía and Coral.
The three largest supermarket chains go to new areas with their formats
The El Rosado Group is not the only company that builds a movable asset on Montecristense soil. There is also a cardboard factory in the province of Azuay (Arteaga did not give the name of that company).
Another that will make cartons for food products will be located on the Montecristi-Portoviejo road, near the Cerro Guayabal community.
There are also orders for the construction of gas stations and several companies linked to the fishing sector.
In the Montecristi canton there are companies considered among the 20 that have had the most income in recent years in Ecuador, such as La Fabril, Hyundai and Molinera, as well as tuna companies and a television channel (OromarTV). (I)
