5,500 bonds will go on sale, a thousand more than last year, until February 28. All you have to do is go to one of the 44 member stores where the discount will be applied.
The second edition of the Culture Bonus is already underway, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of the Provincial Council of Álava in 44 shops in the territory. There will be two types of vouchers, for cultural goods and services, and a total of 5,500 (a thousand more than last year) will be issued in a campaign that will last until February 28.
According to the person in charge of Culture of the Alava County Council, Ana del Val, the main novelty this year is that there will be more vouchers available (925 more than last year).
What’s more, there will be two types of voucher and not four: a first voucher for discounts of 10 euros on consumption of cultural goods and services in Basque with a minimum purchase of 20 euros, and a second voucher for discounts of 10 euros on consumption of cultural goods and services in languages other than Basque, as well as for the purchase of musical instruments, with a minimum purchase of 30 euros.
Another novelty is that each person can consume up to 5 discount vouchers (two more than last year). To acquire it by citizens, just go to a participating store where the discount will be applied. Anyone over 16 can do it (last year it was 18).
A total of 44 companies have joined, an identical figure to last year. The goods for which, expressly, a discount may be obtained at the time of being acquired in establishments and professionals adhered to the program are books, comics and graphic novels, music, movies, documentaries and series in any recording format, musical instruments, as well as those other goods that may be considered a cultural product.
Stationery and crafts products are expressly excluded, drawing materials, textbooks, technical manuals and dictionaries, exam syllabi, video games, computer peripheral equipment and consumables, cameras, audiovisual devices.
The services are classes and courses in fine arts (including singing and musical interpretation, dance and dance), drawing, photography, sculpture and interpretation, guided visits to heritage sites and interpretation centers, tickets to film screenings or theater or live music, tickets to museums and private art fairs, as well as others that may be considered cultural.
Support classes for school or university subjects, language classes, typing classes and the like, tickets to museums and public art galleries are expressly excluded.
