Dollar in Peru: exchange rate closed at S / 4.0710 after the sale of US $ 76 million by the BCRP

The price of the dollar was S / 4.0710 in operations on Thursday, November 2. The greenback started the day at S / 4.0680 as reported by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). During the session, the issuing entity went on the market to sell US $ 76 million at an average exchange rate of S / 4.0729 per dollar to mitigate the volatility of the currency. In addition, it placed exchange swaps for S / 1,000 million throughout the day.

In this way, the price of dollar maintained its price compared to the close of last Wednesday, December 1, when it stood at S / 4.0710. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S / 4.05 and the sale at S / 4.09. As for the price of the dollar in the main windows of our country, it stands at the purchase of S / 4,076 and the sale of S / 4,099 according to Bloomberg. Likewise, it accumulates a gain of 12.49% against the sun so far in 2021, after closing at S / 3,619 in 2020.
