Oro Verde has announced the start of construction of a new hotel in Portoviejo. The first stone of this new investment, which is part of the expansion plan, has already been laid in Los Pinos.
This new hotel of the Upscale category will have a total of 72 rooms and capacity for about 200 guests. It will be the eleventh national property of this Ecuadorian hotel chain.
Oro Verde officially opened in Loja, has 18 direct jobs and more than 50 indirect ones
The approximate investment will be $10 million for construction and will create about 100 jobs during construction and close to 50 direct jobs once the hotel is officially opened, said Edmundo Kronfle Antón, CEO of the hotel chain.
The plan is for the grand opening to take place 18 months after the start of the works.
Oro Verde highlights Portoviejo as a city with great potential for the development of business tourism, pleasure and events within the province of Manabí.
Portoviejo favors private investment with incentives: it predicts that investment will exceed 200 million dollars in 2023.
The ODD+ group is in charge of the architectural project, which seeks to “turn Oro Verde Portoviejo into a testimony of regional and futuristic modern architecture, which uses noble materials to offer an aesthetic that is perfectly integrated with the environment of Portoviejo, respecting its history and pointing to its future,” the chain said in a statement.
Among the main services that will be offered are:
In 2022, the chain officially opened Green Gold in Loja, adding that city to the others where it is present: Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, Machala, Latacunga, Galapagos, and now it will also be in Portoviejo.
