The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) created a temporary working group to promote and formalize self-employment.
In accordance with RM No. 296-2023-TR, published this Sunday the 16th in El Peruano, this sectoral group is formed so that productive self-employment occurs “in decent work conditions.”
This table will be made up of the general director of the General Directorate for Employment Promotion, who will preside over it. The general directors of the rest of the branches of the MTPE and three representatives of the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores del Perú (CUT) will also be there.
Among the main functions of the group are the generation of spaces for social dialogue and the formulation of a national registry of the self-employed population and their organizations.
