It is worth mentioning that the Economic Commission, chaired by Congresswoman Rosangella Barbarán, from Fuerza Popular, did not advance with the elaboration of an opinion on this issue. In one of her statements, the legislator said that there are 50 bills related to pensions and “the priority” was the reform of the pension system.

“I have a position on this (retirement) that the main thing is to help the population that does not recover their job. There are other congressmen whose purpose is to appear on camera. (…) The total withdrawal is a populist measure that seems dangerous to me for an economy that is trying to recover, ”he added on the Andina Canal Online program “Económika”.

Is it possible to withdraw AFP this year?

No, because no proposal in Congress has prospered and so far no new withdrawal from the AFPs has been scheduled for 2023.
