In detail, primary shipments totaled US$18,372,413,000 between January and May, for which there was a 2.2% decline in relation to the same period in 2022 (US$18,788,602,000).
The leading subsector was mining (US$15,409 million), concentrating 59.8% of the total, and growing 7%. Then hydrocarbons were positioned (US$1,976 million 772,000) with a participation of 7.7% and a decrease of 34.6%. In third and fourth place were fishing (-14.5%) and agriculture (-59.5%). The main item was copper and its concentrates (US$7,741 million).
On the other hand, non-traditional shipments between January and May (US$7,415 million) presented an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period in 2022 (US$7,038 million). The leading subsector was the agricultural-agroindustrial sector with an evolution of 7.5%.

In the ranking of destination markets for primary products, China ranks No. 1 out of 74 countries, with US$8,846 million and a 48% share of shipments. It is followed by the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, India, Brazil, Switzerland and Spain. In traditional shipments, The United States ranks first, concentrating 27% of shipments.
