Sunat postpones fines for not placing RUC in network sales

On the eve of the obligation to enter the RUC in advertising through physical and virtual media such as social networks, the Sunat decided to extend the period for omitting sanctions until December 31 of this year, so that individuals and companies are not fined.

Through a resolution published in the official newspaper El Peruano, it was established that the six-month term will be used as a “White March” for those who market their products and services comply with the tax obligations established in Legislative Decree No. 1524.

The tax lawyer Miguel Carrillo He explained to this newspaper that the entity applied the discretionary power it has to not penalize prematurely in the face of criticism of this provision.

“It is a tool that Sunat uses when a rule requires an adaptation time, similar to infractions with electronic referral guides. Just as it has the ability to sanction, it has the power to wait for the taxpayers, ”he explained.

With this benefit of discretion, the Sunat foresees the formalization of around 200,000 taxpayers who are mainly dedicated to electronic commerce, among which content creators such as influencers stand out.
