Impulso MyPerú has disbursed more than S/114 million in credits in favor of 3,765 mypes

He Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) reported that the Development Finance Corporation (Cofide) has disbursed S/ 114.01 million in loans in favor of 3,765 micro and small businesses, as part of the MyPerú Impulse Program.

Minister Alex Contreras explained that, to date, the entity has carried out five auctions within the framework of the program, managing to allocate S/1,594 in guarantees from the National Government at an average rate of 12.67%.

With the fifth auction, 79.7% of the S/2,000 million guarantees authorized for the program have been allocated. A total of 23 companies in the financial system and 4 Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Capture Resources from the Public (Coopac) have captured resources through auctions.

Impulso MyPerú offers competitive rates with levels well below the credit rate for micro and small businesses in the financial system as of April 2023 (38.45% micro-enterprise and 23.13% small business).

“Impulso MyPerú’s rates are similar to those that a large company would access. Currently, in the financial system they would pay a rate of around 38%,” Contreras said.

It should be noted that, from the first auction, companies in the financial system and Coopac have a period of up to 45 business days to report the placement of their portfolio.

The entities that have reported placing loans are: MiBanco, COOPAC Kori, Financiera Qapaq, EDPYME Acceso Crediticio, COOPAC Abaco and Financiera Credinka. 74.50% of the amount disbursed corresponds to the Puno region.

“We hope that these almost S/1,600 million finance the reactivation of the mype in the third and fourth quarters,” concluded the head of the MEF.
