BanEcuador reached $1,000 million in loans delivered. This was reported by a public entity that described the figure as a “historic milestone”.

Dues with BanEcuador can now be settled until June 30, 2023.

The provinces with the highest investment in loans are Guayas with more than USD 112 million, followed by Loja with more than USD 106 million, Manabí with more than USD 98 million, Los Ríos with more than USD 66 million and Chimborazo with more than USD 61 million, which benefited women, vulnerable mothers, herders, farmers, fishermen, artisans, entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs.

One of these cases is that of Hitler Herrera, who was a trader for 26 years and received his seventh loan in BanEcuador to expand his business: Market La Estancia.

“This achievement would not be possible without the support and trust of our clients, who have placed their credibility in this financial entity and in the Government of Ecuador,” the bank said in a statement, in which they also guarantee that the goal achieved reflects the success of a customer-focused approach and a positive the effect it produced on the national economy.

Banco de Fomento Económico, which merges CFN and BanEcuador, will operate from January 2023.

BanEcuador is waiting for the merger process with the National Financial Corporation (CFN), which was agreed upon by signing Decree 406, on April 25, 2022. Both institutions would form a new Bank for Economic Development, which was supposed to start operating from last January 1, however, this did not happen happened.
