Minem guarantees regular supply of LPG in all supply plants

He Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) reported that, as of June 9, 2023, the maritime conditions necessary for the normal development of LPG supply activities have improved; Therefore, it is estimated that LPG loading and unloading operations will begin today at the terminals located in Callao.

Through Report No. 159-2023 of June 8, 2023, Osinergmin specified that LPG inventories in supply plants nationwide reach a total of 593.5 MB, which provides autonomy of 9 days.

Added to this is the prompt unloading of fuel through the Mar Pacífico and Colca Vessels, which are located in Bahía Callao to unload at the Terminals of the Solgas, Zeta Gas and Terminales del Perú Companies.

“The Minem, through the General Directorate of Hydrocarbons (DGH), has been carrying out actions in order to help guarantee the supply of LPG at the national level; for this, it has authorized the use of the minimum stocks of this fuel to companies Solgas, Zeta Gas, Petroperú and Pluspetrol,” he said in a press release.

Likewise, it has coordinated with the agents obliged to comply with stocks to carry out the necessary logistical operations that facilitate the supply of the market, such as the loading of product in Pisco.

“Minem has been carrying out the necessary actions to promote the mass use of vehicular natural gas (NGV), which constitutes an alternative to vehicular LPG, as it is the cheapest and least polluting fuel. Therefore, by 2023, approximately S/ 300 million for the conversion of vehicles to CNG,” he said.
