The state oil company Petroperu denounced the manipulation, by unknown persons, of the bolted metal clip that was placed on May 30 to cover the hole, generated after an attack on the pipeline at kilometer 392+483 of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
In this sense, he urged the population of the Kusumatak community, Condorcanqui province, in the Amazonas region, to allow the entry of personnel assigned to carry out containment work in the area.

He also pointed out that the impediment to access the affected area is an obstruction to carry out the emergency work, it contravenes the law and has been reported by the company to the corresponding authoritiesas well as the manipulation of the control element that had been placed recently.
Finally, he remarked that with this act there have been six attacks on the ONP pipeline so far this year, registered at kilometers 390+210, 399+861, 400+818, 358+835 and 392+483 (affected by second time with staple manipulation).
