Iván Tobar was installed as the new general manager of Biess

He has held the management of financial entities.

This Friday, Iván Tobar was installed as general manager of Biess by the board of directors of the Bank of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (Biess).

Tobar is an economist graduated from the Universidad Católica del Ecuador and has a master’s degree in Business from Southern Oregon University. He has served as general manager of the Finca bank, the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Cooprogreso and the Quito branch of the Banco de Machala; At Banco Pichincha he was national manager of Foreign Trade and Corporate Business.

Biess plans to give 4,521 million in mortgage, unsecured and pledged loans in 2022

“My commitment is to put my training and experience at the service of the Bank of affiliates and retirees, strengthening its financial services, promoting investment strategies that contribute to increasing the profitability of the funds entrusted and strengthening the role that Biess plays towards dynamization of the national economy, ”Tobar said in a statement.

Prior to Tobar’s appointment, the position was held by Freddy Monge, who had been in charge since May after the departure of Diego Burneo.

The Biess announced a few days ago announced in the Commission of Economic and Tax Regime and Regulation and Control of the National Assembly that by 2022 it projected to allocate 4,521 million dollars for mortgage, unsecured and pledged loans. (I)
