State workers denounce obstacles to the start of collective bargaining with the Government

The public sector unions —CITE, CTE PERU, Unasse, Conasep, Confetep— warn that seven months ago they presented their draft Collective Agreements for the start of the talks, however, there is still no progress. This situation directly affects more than a million state workers. They also indicate that there is no response from the authorities that should approve the financial report, with the required fiscal space.

“Lbased on collective bargaining is the financial report that contains the fiscal space, that is, the economic floor to start collective bargaining, and so far the Council of Ministers responsible for approving said report has not done so, using arguments that have been absolutely refuted by the representation of state workers”, can be read in the letter.

In addition, they have denounced before the Ombudsman the situation that would be violating the fundamental rights of union freedom and that citizens have better remunerations. Along these lines, they report that around 562,000 employees of the D. Leg. No. 728 and CAS at the national, regional and local level will carry out aA protest on May 30 before the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and on May 31 at the Presidency of the Republic and the Council of Ministers.

Finally, they convene a conference attended by Josué Gutiérrez Condor, current Ombudsman, for this Monday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m.
