According to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), on Wednesday, November 24, the exchange rate closed at 4.0220 soles. That is, the currency increased by 0.37% compared to the close of last Tuesday, November 23, which was 4.0110 soles.

Likewise, on the economic front, the Plenary session debated on Tuesday, November 23, the opinions passed on the debt law, the financial balance law and the public budget law for fiscal year 2022, which were unanimously approved by the Budget Committee. Congress and so far no vote has been taken. The budget for 2022 slightly exceeds S / 197,000 million, which is almost S / 14,000 million more than this year’s budget.

Regarding the issue of private investment by mining companies, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) indicated that during the meeting between members of the Executive Power and the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE), respect for the fundamental rights to the constitutional and legal framework in force and to freedom of business, in a context of legal stability based on the principle of predictability for private investments (small, medium and large), and improvement of the social and environmental environment.
