This Thursday, May 25, the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (indecopi) will hold its first auction in the city of Trujillo (Freedom). In said event, 16 properties will be auctioned that were seized from individuals and companies that failed to pay fines for violating the rights of consumers or not respect Intellectual property.
Among the properties to be auctioned are departments, land, parking lots, a commercial premises and houses located in the districts of Las Quintanas, El Covirt, Jardines del Golf, San Andrés, San Isidro, Palermo, Huanchaco, Guadalupe, Los Rosales de San Andrés and Chocope, among others.

In this way, participants will be able to acquire, for example, an apartment from S/812,000 in the El Cortijo urbanization or a parking lot from S/30,000 located in the Víctor Larco Herrera urbanization. To review the details of each of the properties, you must access to this link.
How to participate in the auction?
Interested parties must appear at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time carrying their valid ID. Citizens with expired documents will be prevented from participating, according to article 37 of Law 26497.

What do I need to be a bidder for a property?
According to Indecopi, it will only be accepted as a bidder to those who prove an amount of not less than 10% of the appraisal value of the property that they wish to purchase, either in cash or by cashier’s check in the name of Indecopi.
Likewise, those who participate in the auction on behalf of a natural or legal person must present a current power of attorney, registered in the respective registry office.
