He Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced that the coverage of the Impulso Myperú Program will be expanded. Thus, an additional S/1,000 million will be granted for greater assignment of guarantees for the credits.

“For this year We are going to increase from S/2,000 million to S/3,000. We are going to assign 1,000 million more guarantees to continue financing mypes and that none of them go bankrupt as a result of the problems we have worked on in 2023,” said Alex Contreras, head of the MEF portfolio.

Likewise, he specified that the program will continue to finance low rates for micro and small entrepreneurs. “The average rate that mypes have been obtaining, through Impulso Myperú, is a third of what they would obtain in the market. In the last auctions the average rate has been around 13%, while in the financial market one of 39% would be paid”, Contreras reiterated.

He Impulse Myperu Program seeks to benefit 35,630 microenterprises and 104,230 small ones with the granting of credits that reach S/30,000 (which will have 98% coverage) and for amounts of S/30,001 to S/90,000which will be covered at 90%.

In addition, this edition will have a Good Payer Bonus that will reward the punctuality of the users in the payment of the credit and will reduce the interest rate since it will assign an amount equivalent to 15% of the credit or the last two installments.
