The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced that the Juntos program of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) will increase its coverage in a new modality called “Together Urban”for which a registration process will begin in the next three months.
“We are going to expand the program, it is a new program, it would be like Juntos Urbano (…). This will generate a cost of S/300 million,” said the head of the MEF, Alex Contreras, during the presentation of the plan With Punche Peru 2.
In addition, S/100 will be added bimonthly for a period of six months to households benefiting from the strategy called Transfer to Early Childhood (TPI), which is aimed at pregnant women and children under 12 months of age.
The measure is part of the axis Reactivation of the family economy (fight against poverty and support for vulnerable families) of the Plan Con Punche Peru 2, presented this Friday by the MEF. The program aims to reverse the growing trend of poverty in the country, which currently affects more than 27% of Peruvians.
