La Libertad: 2,025 Mypes were established so far in 2023

From January to April 2023, a total of 2,025 micro and small businesses (mypes) They were established in the La Libertad region, within various items, with a capital of S/ 83 million, the dean of the College of Economists of La Libertad (CELL), Francisco Huerta Benites, explained to La República.

“The incorporation of companies and the capital increase are two indicators of formal business entrepreneurship that show positive advances in the first quarter of 2023, in La Libertad. In the period from January to April, 163 companies in the region registered capital increases for an amount of S/ 209 million,” explained Huerta Benites.

The economist detailed, based on data from the National Superintendency of Public Records (Sunarp), that within these 2,025 mypes there are 1,095 Closed Stock Companies (SAC), 875 Individual Limited Liability Companies (EIRL) and 54 Limited Liability Business Companies (SCRL); In addition, in the “Others” category, Sunarp records one more company.

“By its constitution, in Freedom the SAC stand out with 54.1% and the EIRL with 43.2%; while, due to their capital, the SACs stand out with 73% and the EIRLs with 24.6%. At the country level, from January to April 2023, 29,159 companies were incorporated with a capital of S/ 1,638 million. Likewise, in the same period, 2,320 companies increased capital for S/ 16,592 million”, stated Francisco Huerta. He recalled that in the region, in 2021, there were in total 111,629 formal companies, of which 111,078 were mypes.
