A free moment brings them all together on the sofa. Carolina Aguirre Chávez and her daughters Diana, Carla, María de Los Ángeles, Eva and María Denisse do not have to be at home for this family moment, because they do it every day between coloring and haircuts, manicures, pedicures, treatments and hundreds of colors and fragrances, in his company Carolina Aguirre Organic Colorimetry, where many Mother’s Days have passed, and this Sunday will not be an exception.

They pass between laughter and a bit of nostalgia when Carolina, 47, remembers – surrounded by her daughters – that she started the beauty shop very young, at the age of 13 with famous people and family friends.

‘Mom, I want to be a doctor to save you’: this is the story of Jennifer Ramírez, a cancer patient who suffers thinking about who her children will stay with and whether they will be able to see them as professionals

“I worked on the weekends that I had free, because I studied at school and beauty”, and ten years later, after several other jobs in companies, she decided to become independent and start a business career.

“I was in the company that sent me to cover the Coca route, in the east; And at a certain point in my life I said: I need more time for my daughters and for my passion, which was hairdressing, and that’s where I started working independently,” recalls Aguirre, who 24 years later is a prominent business woman in the world of beauty with with headquarters in Urdesa and the latest location in Samborondón, which opened before the pandemic; although he remembers that his beginnings were in the Centenario district, in the south.

This leap allowed her to share with her daughters, take them to school, cook and become more involved in their upbringing, taking turns with the nannies she hired and who helped her. To her surprise, as her daughters grew older, they took an interest in her work and demonstrated skills that they perfected with time and practice; and now they are a fundamental part of the company, so much so that he realizes that without them it would not have been possible to get to where he is now.

None of them were obliged, although in the beginning one told me that she would be a dentist, the other that she would be a doctor, but little by little they discovered that they had some hidden skill and over time they told me: you know mom, I like your profession, I like it I like what you do and I want to work with you.”

Carla, 25, is a cook, but she is the manager of the company. “She is the one who manages the finances, deals with the import of the companies from which we buy products,” says Aguirre.

“Nastarija, Dianita (27 years old), is a cut diamond, she cuts herself, she is very involved and specializes in hair care, she is a great perfectionist.”

“In a month and a half of pregnancy, they told us that four blessings are coming, all four cry at the same time, I start to cry with them”: the chaotic happiness of a mother of four in Ecuador

Instead, it was María de Los Ángeles (22 years old) who helped her discover Instagram and social networks. “She is my public relations officer, everything related to marketing is done by her”.

Eva (21 years old) loves colors, creates designs according to skin color, eye color and shape, and hair type, she is a specialist in colorimetry.

And María Dennise is the youngest (15 years old), she does not work in the company, but supports her mother in ideas on how to improve customer service. “She runs a tiktok with clients, she’s still studying at school, she says she’s going to be a lawyer, but she dyes her hair herself and it looks perfect on her, spectacular make-up.”

Therefore, Carolina Aguirre has no words to explain the satisfaction, pride and happiness of seeing how her daughters admire her work and her and how they want to continue with work “because they see it as a passion that each of them carries in their hearts towards work. What we did together.. “.

What is it like to work with your mother?

Carla admits that it is a bit difficult because mothers are always right. “Sometimes we separate my mother’s part from the company’s part, but always when a decision is made, we make a meeting room where all my sisters are, first we talk, everything we do and she decides what to do”.

Diana, on the other hand, assures that she gets along very well with her mother at work and appreciates the fact that she “lets me flow peacefully”. “I will soon receive my master’s title, she does not clip my wings, and when I make a mistake, which is almost never, everything is calm, nothing happens, but I force myself to make everything perfect”.

For Eva, it is a bit difficult to combine work with family, but she likes it “because I spend more time with her and learn more from her experience.”

And it’s that “it’s nice because it’s not a job, it’s my home where I can be with my mother and sisters while I’m growing up,” says María de Los Ángeles.

The same goes for María Dennise: “it’s nice to spend time with her, she’s my best friend and I’m very proud of her, because despite everything she fought and came forward with all my sisters and it was a house full of women”, she comments a teenage girl who is attracted to the world of beauty, but has a fixed dream of studying law.

Carolina is far from retiring from work, although she assures that when the time comes, her company will leave in peace.

“These girls are eager to learn more, they travel, they bring new experiences, the business is in good hands,” says Aguirre excitedly, who advises other business mothers to lead and live the life that is presented to them and not even look for perfection at work or in family relationship. “Because we are human and we have moments when we make mistakes and rise up, but for that we always have God in our hearts, that helped me a lot, we hug, talk and move forward.”
