They warn lobbies to destabilize Petroperú

The Petroperú workers, grouped in the United National Front of Petroperú SA Unions, asked President Dina Boluarte for the approval and publication of the supreme decree that grants the oil lots in the northwest of the country to the state company.

In addition, they expressed their support for the management of the head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), Oscar Vera. This, because they seek to remove him from the position for showing himself in favor of Petroperú assuming the lots.

Currently, from the Congress of the Republic a motion for interpellation is promoted against the head of the Minem for omissions in his sworn statement as Minister of State.

In addition, yesterday the Executive accepted the resignation of Enrique Bisetti as Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, and entrusted the sub-portfolio to Jaime Luyo, Vice Minister of Electricity.

In this regard, Petroperú workers pointed out the presence of “powerful privatization lobbies” that seek to prevent oil lots from returning to the State.
