The tax reform proposed by the Government implies an immediate reduction of income tax, as it would start to be applied from this year 2023.
Deductible personal expenses will be up to 20 basic family baskets, or up to $15,294. This is based on the number of benefits of the taxpayer who can register up to five family benefits.
Pet expenses will also be considered for these deductions.
This is part of President Guillermo Lasso’s announcement this Thursday, May 11 from Carondelet.
From the information presented, it follows that taxpayers or their dependents with rare, catastrophic or orphan diseases will be entitled to the maximum recognized expenses, regardless of the number of charges.
