The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) reported that applications are open to participate in the third call for the Internationalization Support Program (PAI), which has S/3 million to co-finance the internationalization initiatives of Peruvian companies.
In this regard, the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade, Theresa Merastressed that this initiative will allow Peruvian entrepreneurs to continue growing and position Peruvian products in the most demanding markets in the world.
What is the PAI?
He PAI is a program created by Mincetur to co-finance activities aimed at strengthening, promoting and accelerating the internationalization process of exporting or potential exporting MSMEs throughout the country. In this second stage of the program, which was launched in 2021 with a budget of S/20 million, a total of 120 companies have benefited to date.
“I would like to invite Peruvian entrepreneurs and exporters to participate in the Internationalization Support Program. Those interested should only enter www.pai.pe to know the rules of the contest and access the application form. Applications are open until 1.00 pm on May 19”, indicated the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade.
What are the modalities?
Interested companies may apply for two types of internationalization: export entrepreneurship and export empowerment.
The first is aimed at companies or individuals with a business who do not yet have export experience, but have a product with high export potential. For this option, the program provides a maximum co-financing amount of S/70,000 non-reimbursable, to cover up to 90% of the project value.
The second modality is aimed at companies that are not regular exporters, but that have some experience exporting and seek to better meet international demand. For them, the PAI grants a maximum co-financing amount of S/90,000 non-reimbursable in order to cover up to 90% of the value of the project.
