The Consumer Price Index (CPI), an indicator that measures the inflationwas 0.56% during April in Metropolitan Lima, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).
The result for the fourth month of the year represents a strong setback compared to the figure for March, when it advanced 1.25%. In January and February, inflation was 0.23% and 0.29%, respectively. The cumulative advance so far this year is 2.35%.

For its part, inflation at the national level rose 0.55% at the national level. This is also less than what was registered in January, when it rose 1.19%.
Accumulated inflation nationwide is 2.66% in the fourth month of the year.
The Consumer Price Index at the National Level and for Metropolitan Lima corresponding to the month of April 2023 were approved by Chief Resolution No. 121-2023-INEI published today in El Peruano.
