Chicken price reaches S/13.9 in markets

The price of chicken has increased by more than 8% so far in April. In the first fortnight it was sold in less than S/12.5 per kilogram and from the third week it exceeds S/13 per kilo in retail establishments of Metropolitan Limaaccording to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (midagri).

Given the rise, the owner of Midagri, Nelly Paredes, stated that the price of chicken would fall to S/11 or S/12 from next week.
