Leasing bonus: new subsidy of S/500 for families in Piura affected by landslides

The Peruvian Government approved the twentieth call for the year 2023 for the granting of 50 Lease Bonds Housing for Emergencies (BAE), aimed at families affected by the mudslides in the districts of Castilla, Catacaos and El Tallán, in the province of Piura; in the district of Suyo, in the province of Ayabaca; and, in the district of La Brea, in the province of Talara, in the department of Piura.

Through ministerial resolution No. 175-2023-VIVIENDA, it is established that the subsidy, on a monthly basis for a maximum period of up to two years, will be aimed at an equal number of potential beneficiaries made up of victims with collapsed or uninhabitable homes, as a result of intense rainfall, on areas declared in a State of Emergency by Supreme Decree No. 034-2023-PCM.

The distribution of the BAE will be as follows: 7 for Castilla, 12 for Catacaos, 18 for El Tallán, 1 for Suyo, and 12 for La Brea.

The collapsed or uninhabitable homes have been validated by the General Directorate of Housing and Urban Development Programs and Projects (DGPPVU) and are detailed in the list of potential beneficiaries.

The list of potential beneficiaries will be published tomorrow, Monday, April 24, at the digital offices of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation and the MIVIVIENDA SA Fund; in addition to the municipal premises of the aforementioned districts; and, the premises of the Citizen Service Center of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), Piura Headquarters.

Potential beneficiaries, within a maximum period of ten business days, counted from the day after the publication of this Ministerial Resolution, may submit the following documents signed by the Representative of the Family Group:

  • Application for granting the BAE.
  • Affidavit of not having a home other than the collapsed or uninhabitable one located in the department of origin (Lambayeque).
  • Housing lease, signed with the landlord of the same, with signatures legalized before the justice of the peace or notary public.
  • If applicable, the sworn statement of the signatories of the aforementioned contract declaring the economic impediment for the legalization of signatures.
