The owner of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF)Alex Contreras Miranda, pointed out this Saturday, April 22, that in the short term a bill that would implement tax measures for Micro and Small Enterprises (Mype).
“There is an issue that we can bring up this year, we are preparing a bill to reform the mype tax regime. We need to simplify and generate incentives,” Contreras told Radio Nacional. “A mype has no incentive to hire a staff because it cannot deduct that expense from the tax payment,” he added.
Likewise, he pointed out that it is sought that the declarations of costs and expenses are made automatically by Sunat by means of proof of electronic payment and that those small and medium-sized companies that invest in devices or machinery can also deduct those expenses.
“We have to work on these incentives because it is on our short-term agenda and does not imply higher tax payments,” concluded the head of the MEF.
As recalled, this proposal, which mainly seeks to modify the Law of the New Single Simplified Regime (NRUS), was already raised by the Executive before the commission of the Economy, Banking, Finance Commission, however it was rejected after requesting changes in the letter .
