The production of strawberries, value-added blueberries and artisanal wine would encourage 18 families from the Association of Strawberry Producers of the Canton of Nabón, in the province of Azuay, to increase their income. It is about the proposal of the project which experienced its first socialization this week and has a tentative budget of 63,000 dollars, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) reported.

The project was presented at an event held at the Nabón Cultural Center to the elected authorities and representatives of the provincial, municipal and parish authorities.

The project predicts an increase in family income from USD 162 to USD 227 with the cultivation of strawberries and blueberries.
