LAP also shared some key recommendations for travelers who will pass through the Jorge Chávez International Airport this long weekend. These are the following:

  • Check that the identity documents and passport are valid.
  • Arrive at the airport 3 hours before an international flight and 2 hours before a domestic flight. This is due to the fact that security controls and the passage through immigration must be foreseen in the case of international flights.
  • Review the list of prohibited objects for hand luggage according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Peru.
  • Due to the rainy season, it is important to constantly check your flight schedule with your airline.
  • Due to government guidelines, the restriction of access to the terminal only for passengers is maintained. Taxi drivers can enter the airport to drop off passengers, respecting traffic regulations and traffic signs within the parking lot.
