Banco de la Nación presents its first ATM that works with solar energy: where is it located?

As part of its eco-efficiency plan to reduce exhaust gases greenhouse effectBanco de la Nación (BN) and the Peruvian Association of Consumers and Users (Aspec) launched today, Friday March 31, the first MultiRed ATM which operates with solar energy. First solar powered ATM: where is it located?

This machine is located in the proceres avenue de la Independencia 2075-2077, urbanization San Hilarión, in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho.

The ATM uses clean energy such as solar, whose maintenance cost is considerably reduced, which means a decrease in operating costs, but mainly it demonstrates a tangible commitment to caring for the environment.

For the BN, it is opportune to sensitize companies, state organizations and consumers about the need to move towards clean energy such as solar, wind or hydroelectric due to the growing global energy crisis, in order to mitigate negative effects on the environment.

In view of the need to contribute to the focus on the reducing your carbon footprintalso called Banco de Todos has started using clean energy in its branches and ATMs.

At the inauguration of this solar powered ATMPresent were Carlos Quevedo Juárez, manager of Digital Banking at Banco de la Nación, and Crisólogo Cáceres, president of the Peruvian Association of Consumers and Users (Aspec) and member of the Board of Directors of Consumers International, a recognized federation of consumer organizations.
