Sunafil recommended imposing 250 fines on companies for failing to pay utilities

After a series of complaints and routine operations against companies in the regions of La Libertad, Arequipa and Cusco; the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil) generated 250 infractions for the matter of non-compliance in the payment of utilities in favor of the workers.

These results were the product of the actions taken against companies from different sectors from 2020 to 2023. The economic sectors, inspected and infringed, are led by the services category (real estatebusiness and rentals) and manufacturing industries.

Likewise, with the purpose of promoting the timely and full payment of profits, Sunafil held 219 free orientation talks for the benefit of 579 companies and 2,818 workers, as well as webinars in which more than 1,200 people from different economic sectors participated.

It should be noted that profit sharing is the workers’ right subject to the labor regime of private activity to participate in the profits of companies that carry out third-category income-generating activities. In this way, corporate identity and increased productivity are promoted.
