The Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (PETM), ordered this Friday the creation of two temporary coordination tables with the same number of union organizations.
Thus, through Ministerial Resolution No. 150-2023-TR, published in El Peruano, the “Working Group between the Confederation of Workers of Peru (CTP) and the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion”.
In addition, Ministerial Resolution No. 151-2023-TR established the implementation of the “Working Group between the Autonomous Central of Workers of Peru (CATP) and the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion”.
In both cases, the teams’ purpose is to address and articulate the proposals of unions referring to socio-labour issues of general interest and national scope.
The groups will be made up of the following members:
- A representative of the Vice-Ministerial Labor Office, who presides over it.
- A representative of the Ministerial Office.
- A representative of the General Directorate of Labor.
- A representative of the General Directorate of Fundamental Rights and Safety and Health at Work.
- A representative of the General Directorate of Policies for the Promotion of Labor Formalization and Labor Inspection.
- A representative of the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil).
- Six representatives of the trade union center (CTP or CATP).
Meanwhile, its functions are:
- Prepare a plan of activities to fulfill the purpose of the working group.
- Request the competent organic units to prepare technical reports that are linked to the issues addressed at the work table.
- Others that it considers necessary for the fulfillment of its object.
The work teams will be installed within a period that will not exceed 10 business days, counted from the date of publication of the respective ministerial resolution. Its validity is one year.
