The noodles –such as the Rapidito instant ones– and sauces that Oriental produces in its plant located in Quevedo, in the province of Los Ríos, have traveled in recent months to Panama, the new market to which this Ecuadorian company exports.
“We are sure that the Tradition of Good Eating will be very well received in the Panamanian market, one of the most important channels of exchange in the region,” said the founder and CEO of Oriental Industria Alimentaria, Wilson León.
Thus, its product portfolio now reaches thirteen countries. This company already exports to the United States, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Bolivia, Italy, Turkey, Spain, China and now to Panama.
“We will continue to expand our horizons, bringing the best of Ecuador to the world,” said León.
The first export of this company to the Panamanian market took place last September.

In 2020, it entered Costa Rican stores and supermarkets with instant noodle soup, and last January it also began to export it to Colombia and market it through those same sales channels. On that occasion, it was indicated that the company made an investment of $ 2 million to increase its production capacity and efficiency in the new Rapidito presentation formats, and thus make it available in biodegradable paper cups. In those two countries, they found that consumers are looking for low-priced food alternatives, especially in times of pandemic.
In recent years, Oriental has invested in two new automated lines of instant noodles, pre-cooked artisanal dough sheets and oyster sauce packer with greater capacity for the demand, which has increased, which has allowed it to expand its capacity of production, according to company information. (I)
