Taxpayers with tax domicile in areas declared in emergency due to natural disasters may file the 2022 Annual Income Statement until June 2023, reported the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat).
This is within the framework of Superintendency Resolution No. 051-2019, which states that, in this situation, citizens automatically receive the postponement of their tax obligations for up to 3 months.
It should be noted that the official schedule for the 2022 Annual Income Statement begins to expire on March 24 and runs until April 11.
The Sunat also explained that the extension also includes the declarations and monthly payments of taxes that expire from March to July 2023 and that they can be declared and paid from June to August 2023, respectively.
In addition, he specified that in all cases, the expiration schedule will be considered, based on the last digit of the RUC of each taxpayer.
Taxpayers can obtain more information about the extensions through the official channels of the Sunat such as the Telephone Consultation Center by calling the numbers 0 801 12 100 or 315 0730 or on the institutional web portal (www.sunat.gob.pe).
