As a result of the intense rains recorded in different regions, especially in the north of the country, many families have lost their homes. For this reason, the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) announced that it will grant the Housing Lease Bond for Emergencies (BAE)a subsidy that will allow those affected to be attended to in the short term.
This was announced by the head of the portfolio, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar, during her tour of the Lambayeque region, together with the Minister of Production and the regional governor. In the place, 62 houses affected by the floods have been identified. However, It is necessary that the local authorities carry out a registry of all the victims.
“I call on the authorities to deploy their teams and make the correct registration. In the same way, I call on the population to go to their municipalities and request their registration,” said the minister.
How much is the financial aid?
The BAE consists of a monthly financial aid of S/500which is managed through the MVCS and the Mivivienda Fund (FMV), so that those families whose homes have been declared uninhabitable or collapsed due to natural disasters or induced by human action, can rent a space to live, which has the services basic, for a maximum period of two years.
The initial step for the granting of this bonus consists of local governments submit to the MVCS the registers of victims (EDAN form), indicating the number of homes in a situation of uninhabitability or destructionthe damages identified and the information corresponding to the families.
In this sense, MVCS brigades have been deployed to the regions of Lambayeque, Piura, Áncash, Lima Provincias, San Martín, among others, to train municipal personnel in the preparation of these registers.
Who will be the beneficiaries of the Leasing Bonus?
Once the MVCS has verified the information submitted by the local governments, the call will be made through a ministerial resolution, detailing the number of potential beneficiaries, locations and deadlines. Those summoned may apply at the headquarters of their respective municipalities indicating the data of the home they will rent.
Within approximately 10 days, the final list of BAE beneficiaries will be sent to the FMV for communication. Families that access this subsidy may collect it monthly through the offices of the National bank.
