Alicorp

Another company of the Romero Group, in addition to Primax, that decided to expand to the northern nation is Alicorp. The consumer goods company has operations in eight Latin American countries. As stated on its website, Ecuador represents the second most important market in the region for Alicorp and, in recent years, both the mass consumption business such as aquaculture have reported growth in that country.

In addition to being a leader in mass consumption in the Ecuadorian market, it has industrial operations. In 2007, Alicorp acquired 100% of the shares of the Eskimo ice cream company, which is very popular in Ecuador.

talma

talma is a Peruvian firm that provides airport services such as air cargo, aircraft service, executive aviation, online maintenance, among others. In 2017, operations began at seven of the main airports in Ecuador through ramp services. Currently, it operates in the following air terminals:

AJE

AJE Group was born in the province of San Miguel, in Ayacucho (Peru), more than 30 years ago. In 1988, the Añaños family, founders of the company, began to produce soft drinks under the Kola Real brand from an orange-flavored drink. Currently, operates in more than 20 countries, including Ecuador. In addition, it has Cielo, Pulp, Sporade, Free tea, Cifrut, Volt, Big Cola, Sabor de Oro, Volt, Bio Amayu. Mercantil SA is a Peruvian company expanding its operations in the Ecuadorian mining sector. This firm has been in the national market for 42 years and its importation of cyanide stands out. Likewise, it is dedicated to the commercialization of chemical inputs for various industries, as well as the sale of laboratory equipment and materials.

Its sales representative, Rodolfo Connoc, told Líderes magazine that they opened the Mercantil subsidiary in Ecuador in 2020 and its main client is Lundin Gold, with the Fruta del Norte deposit, where they sell automation equipment for gold cyanidation. .

belcorp

Belcorp is the Peruvian and multinational beauty and cosmetics company that brings together three brands Ésika, L’Bel and Cyzone. Although they have a well-promoted website, their main channel is direct sales. This Peruvian capital company has not yet entered the Ecuadorian market, but plans to do so in 2024, as stated by Verónica Valdez, general manager for Semana Económica. Promart Homecenter has been in Peru for more than 10 years and has established itself as one of the leading brands at the retail level. Now, the chain of home improvement stores, owned by the Peruvian business group Intercorp, is already preparing its expansion to the neighboring country to the north.
