Thousands of people protest in Baiona on the seventh day against the pension reform

Around 7,300 people according to the accused and around 3,000 according to the French police participated this morning in Baiona in the demonstration called by the inter-union within the seventh day of protests against the pension reform.
The mobilization started at 10:30 a.m. and toured the main streets of the capital of La Labor under heavy rain.
The participants have warned that they will continue fighting until they get the government to reverse the reform.
In total, the French unions have called 230 mobilizations for today. The most crowded for 2:00 p.m. in Paris, Marseille, Lille or Bordeaux, for example.

The French Senate has approved this week one of the most controversial articles of the pension reform, which Delays retirement age from 62 to 64. Article 7 was approved by 201 votes in favor and 115 against. Socialist, communist and ecologist senators voted against. The French Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, stressed, however, that they had a “very large” majority and criticized the attitude of the left.
Unions and social agents are very angry with the reform that the Macron government wants to finish approving next week and have announced that they will continue with the mobilizations.
On Tuesday the most massive mobilizations for years took place, with 3.5 million citizens in the protests, some 23,000 in Baiona.
In addition to today’s demonstrations, there are also calls demonstrations and strikes for March 15.
