How to get rid of spider mites at home? The method also works on aphids

Getting rid of spider mites and aphids attacking your plants doesn’t have to be difficult. Garlic spray prepared at home is a great help, the pungent smell of which will act as a deterrent. It is worth applying it as soon as possible after noticing the attack of pests.

  1. Peel three cloves of garlic and chop them finely.
  2. Place the vegetable in a jar and pour about 1 liter of cool water over it.
  3. Stir the substance, cover the vessel and leave it for 24 hours in a dry and warm place.
  4. The next day, dilute the solution with water in a 1:1 ratio and spray the infected plants.

Seal leftovers in an airtight container and store the spray in the refrigerator for about a month. It is also worth using it preventively – even once a week.

What about aphids and spider mites? Prepare a garlic spray

If you don’t have garlic at home, check to see if there is any kind of vinegar in the kitchen cupboard. It turns out that the liquid will also help fight aphids and spider mites. However, it must first be diluted with water in the right proportion.

  1. Mix vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:10.
  2. Add a teaspoon of gray soap or a few drops of dishwashing liquid, which will strengthen the effect of the spray.
  3. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray the plants thoroughly. Don’t avoid the underside of the leaves, where the most pests are often found.
