“The objectives of this management are based on four pillars. The first is to enable the execution of the four mining projects that we have”, said the official from Toronto (Canada) at the conference “Challenges, prospects and opportunities for Peruvian mining.”
Likewise, by 2024 it is expected to execute the Zafranal (Arequipa) and Yanacocha Sulfuros (Cajamarca) projects, which will have an economic injection of US$3,973 million. In this way, for the 2023-2024 period, a mining investment of US$6.920 million is expected in Peru.
Regarding the mineral exploration portfolio, vera gargurevich He explained that it consists of 74 projects in 17 regions with financing of US$596 million. In addition, the main investors are Peru (39%), followed by Canada (27%), Brazil and the United Kingdom (9.1%).
It is important to note that the country ranked sixth in the global mining exploration ranking with US$533 million.
