Produces ready measures to support mypes in the face of refusal to apply safeguards

Raul Perez Reyes, Minister of Production, declared that next week a package of measures will be launched to help micro and small businesses. This occurs at a time when the Government decided not to apply safeguards on imports of Chinese clothing, a decision that has been rejected by the National Mype Defense Front because it would put more than 100,000 Peruvian companies at risk. .

“In the Government we are plotting a package of measures, we have already been talking with the unions. We are going to make a regulatory proposal and we are working with the MEF. We hope to announce them probably starting next week,” said the head of Produce on Thursday, March 2, during the presentation of the first public station for charging electric cars.

Along these lines, he reiterated that it seeks to support mypes on the financing side and boost imports in Latin American countries. Likewise, he pointed out that the date for the beginning of the delivery of Impulso Myperú credits will be announced during the following week.

“On the one hand, it is expected to help companies reduce costs, in financing and also to improve competitiveness. Give help (to businesses) in the process of exporting their products. There are activities that, due to their size, could not be carried out individually, and for this the State must help them to be successful exporters. Likewise, there are countries in the region where the products could be sold, such as Brazil, Argentina and Chile”, he argued.

He specified that it is expected to increase productivity by implementing collective brands and improving the design and quality of products in the long term. Pérez also reiterated that he maintained communication with unions to which he informed about these new measures, soon to be announced.
