Petroperú will start selling only two types of gasoline and gasoholes from March 1

Regular and premium will be the new offer. The Executive granted 60 days of adaptation so that companies that sell 90, 95 and 97 gasoline at the wholesale level adapt to the norm.

Petroperu has reported, as an Important Fact, that as of Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the commercialization of Regular and Premium gasoline and gasoholes will begin in all its plants and sales terminals nationwide, in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) established in Supreme Decree No. 018-2022-EM, which establishes the measures related to the use and compulsory sale of these fuels in the country.

“As of March 1, 2023, PETROPERÚ SA will begin the commercialization of Regular and Premium gasoline and gasoholes in all its sales plants and terminals nationwide, in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Energy and Mines established in the Supreme Decree N 018-2022-EM, in which they establish the measures related to the use and compulsory commercialization of these fuels in the country,” the document reads.

The 84 octane variety will continue to be sold until December 2023 (June 2024 in some regions), This means that the 90, 95 and 97 will start to disappear from the griffin boards once the griffins deplete their stock.

Petroperú had already detailed to La República that it was implementing the dye system in plants and terminals. For example, red dye was purchased for regular gasoline, and a gradual renewal of the inventory began, which, nationwide, will replace 97 gasoline/gasohol with premium gasoline/gasohol, which will be yellow.
