The head of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), Nelly Paredes, confirmed that the second part of the Fertiabono will begin to be paid from Friday March 3.
“The efforts were made and it begins with southern regions such as Puno, Cusco, Ica, Arequipa and Moquegua,” said the official during the launch of Con Punche Peru Agro.
According to official sources, Fertiabono II will reach 173,000 small farmers to help them purchase fertilizersas a result of failures in international tenders for said input, whether organic or inorganic.

Midagri specifies that Fertiabono II will take from S/450 to S/2,350 for small producers who manage up to five hectares. Those who have less than one hectare will receive S/235.
“The beneficiaries must have from zero to five hectares of crops, which will help ensure this agricultural season,” concluded Paredes.
