He Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) aims to reduce poverty and social exclusion with seven results that will help measure the goals set out in the National Development and Social Inclusion Policy (PNDIS).
These objectives were signed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and 15 ministries. Likewise, the session of the Interministerial Commission for Social Affairs will also participate to meet the goals for 2030.
What are the objectives set by the Midis?
- In the first place, it is proposed that, by 2030, monetary poverty will go from the current 25.9% to 19.8%. Likewise, it seeks to increase to 99.4% the percentage of people with some kind of health insurance.
- It is expected to increase the percentage of households with basic services from 73.7% to 87.5%.
- It is proposed to reduce the percentage of girls and boys from 6 to 35 months with anemia, from 39% to 32.4%.
- It seeks to reduce dropout in secondary school from 4.9% to 2.8% by 2030.
- It is proposed to lower the levels of adolescent pregnancy in women between 15 and 19 years of age, from 8.9% to 5.3%.
- The goal is for underemployment to fall from 47.4% to 40.9%.
- The aim is to increase the percentage of pension affiliation from 50.6% to 63.1% in older adults.
