The Midis has launched the Sunday Pagatón, in which the S/300 of the subsidy is paid and other activities are carried out for the benefit of the population.
He Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) organized the Sunday Pagatón activity, exclusively for users of the Pensión 65 program, in 10 regions of the country in order to deliver the economic subsidy of S/300 for the January-February period of this year. Minister Julio Demartini arrived in the district of Iquitos, in Loreto to supervise the activity that benefits 20,200 elderly users of the social program.
The head of the Midis pointed out that the entire country is traveled from the Midis to bring State services to the most vulnerable populations. “The ‘pagatons’ will be held every two months in different cities of the country,” he explained.
The Sunday Pagatón was carried out simultaneously in Áncash (Huaraz), Huánuco (Huánuco), Huancayo (Junín), Loreto (Iquitos and Yurimaguas), San Martín (Moyobamba), Tumbes (Tumbes), Ucayali (Pucallpa), Puno (Juliaca), Ayacucho (Ayacucho) and Apurímac (Andahuaylas).
Likewise, the owner of the Midis participated in other activities in favor of the elderly attending the Sunday Pagatón, such as comprehensive health care campaigns; immunization with bivalent vaccine, pneumonia and influenza; and delivery of lenses donated by the NGO Management Sciences of Health (MSH).
Similarly, the minister was able to appreciate the Saberes Productivos fair, installed in front of the Banco de la Nación de Iquitos agency, where older adults from the Kukama Kukamiria ethnic group exhibited their knowledge in traditional medicine, crafts, traditional cooking, agricultural products and techniques and fishing gear.

In the Loreto region, Pensión 65 has 30,567 users. In the province of Maynas there are 11,739, while in the districts of Iquitos, Punchana, Belén and San Juan Bautista there are 7,540 registered older adults.
