The sale price of homes in the Basque Country rises to 2,932 euros/m2, 2.5% more

The sale price of homes in Basque Country It has become more expensive by 2.5% during 2022, rising from 2,860 euros per square meter to 2932 euros/m2. In Navarreon the other hand, there has been a slight reduction in prices from 1,768 euros/m2 in 2021 to 1750 euros/m2 of this year.

These are data offered by the Association of Registrars that show the high cost of housing in Euskadi, with the third most expensive price in the Spanish State after the Balearic Islands and Madrid. In the State as a whole, the price has increased by 6.7% to 1,944 euros/m2.

Broken down by type, the new house is located in Euskadi in the 3318 euros per square meter —in 2021, it was at 3,039 euros/m2—, and once again exceeds the Madrid average (in the Balearic Islands it is 3470 euros). In the Foral Community there has been an opposite trend, since the prices of new homes have fallen from 1,955 euros per square meter to 1,933 euros/m2.

For his part, used housing It has also risen in the Basque Country, although minimally, going from 2,833 euros/m2 to the current 2,859 euros/m2. In Navarra there has been a timid drop (1,685 euros/m2 from 2021 to 1,682 euros/m2).

According to the Association, in the fourth quarter of the year the purchase and sale of homes has sunk in the Basque Country and Navarra, by 14.1% and 6.4% respectively compared to the previous quarter in a context marked by the rise in interest rates to face the escalation of inflation and the increase in the cost of financing.
