People who plan to go out this February 14 can deduct income tax with expenses for the day of love. This will allow you a reduction in the payment of this tax or a full refund of the balance.

It is so, the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) reported that independent workers or those who are on the payroll, with annual income greater than 7 UIT (S / 34,650), may deduct from Income Tax the expenses they make this Valentine’s Day.

In this way, purchases in restaurants, bars and hotels may have a decrease in the payment of this 15% tax or, in some cases, full refund of the balance in favor. In addition, the benefit also applies to the delivery service, requesting an electronic sales receipt.

The requirements to access this benefit is that the worker requests electronic sales receipts for the consumption he makes. Said voucher must include the DNI number, and in the case of a foreign citizen, their RUC number.

Other expenses that may be deductible

It should be noted that independent or payroll workers can also deduct expenses such as housing rental (30%), doctor and dentist fees (30%), fees for services related to any profession, art, science or trade (30%) , and contributions to EsSalud in favor of domestic workers (100%).

It is necessary to remember that the limit of deductible expenses that each worker can access is 3 UIT which, for this year, is equivalent to S/14,850.
