The press attache of the Yaroslavl “Shinnik” Igor Merezhin spoke about the victims during the mass brawl involving the players of the Russian team and the Ukrainian “Minaj”. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
According to him, several people were injured during the brawl on February 13, but they have no serious health problems. “There are no fractures, as they say in the media,” Merezhin said.

The fight was started by the representatives of “Minay”

After some time, several players of the Ukrainian club ended up in the same elevator with the Shinnik player and beat him up. When the elevator arrived on the floor, there was a group of Yaroslavl players standing up for a teammate. The hotel had to call the police and an ambulance. As a result of the incident, no one was detained, but law enforcement officers remained on duty at the hotel.
According to the Shinnik players, the Ukrainians knew about the arrival of the Russian team at the hotel and were specially preparing for a fight, provoking representatives of the Yaroslavl team with pro-Ukrainian slogans.
In “Shinnik” announced an official statement about what happened
The general director of the team, Sergey Kulakov, said that he is currently in Yaroslavl, so it is difficult for him to understand what really happened. At the same time, he did not deny the fact of a brawl and promised to look into what had happened. Kulakov added that Shinnik would publish its position on the incident on the official website.
In an interview with YARNOVOSTI, Kulakov said that now the players are safe. “We sit quietly in the rooms so that there are no questions,” he said.
Kulakov noted that “Shinnik” initially did not want to live in the same hotel with the Ukrainians, which he informed the hotel in November last year. The hotel accepted the conditions.
