The first batch of the 73,529 tons of urea that the country will buy will reach the national territory on July 27 or 28, according to sources from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri).
This if this weekend a bidder is found in the second call of international suppliers launched on Monday by Agro Rural.
The estimate is based on the fact that the supplier will have up to 45 calendar days, counted from the notification of the acceptance of the offer, to make the first delivery of the product, as indicated in the technical specifications prepared by Midagri.
The volume of this lot should not be less than 40% of the total. It will be delivered to the ports of Salaverry, the port of Callao and the port of Matarani.
While the second shipment, with the final balance of urea, would arrive in the country in the first half of August, taking into account that for this delivery the supplier will have 15 calendar days counted from the arrival of the first batch.
The term and place of unloading by port will be determined and notified 10 calendar days after the acceptance of the supplier’s offer is communicated and may be subject to negotiation by the parties, according to Agro Rural.
It should be remembered that the second call was launched at midnight on Monday and will expire at 11:59 p.m. this Thursday.
