February is the shortest month of the year, but also one of the most awaited by different businesses due to the campaign that takes place for Valentine’s Day. On this day (which will fall on Tuesday the 14th), many people plan to give a present such as flowers, chocolates, stuffed animals, books, perfumes, among other detailstheir partners or friends.
In this sense, for this date, users have taken their forecasts and, according to an analysis of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL), the average spending of Peruvians will be between S/100 and S/150.
Although this would be a lower amount compared to that of 2022, when for these days the amount of purchases rose from S/190 to S/250, there will be a slight increase of 3% nationwide in sales for all sectors.
“The average ticket is being reviewed in this way due to the trend of a January with uncertainty due to the crisis, in which there were not so many sales. It should be noted that this Valentine’s campaign represents 8% of the annual sales of companies in the retail sector.
